Mrs. Srimati Shaha was born in a respectable family in 1950 at Sylhet. She completed her schooling and later graduation. Thereafter, despite her heavy commitment to the family she continued looking after the war affected Kumudini Welfare Trust of Bengal (BD) Ltd. Following the traditions of Kumudini, Mrs. Srimati Shaha dedicated her life in the furtherance of female education and women's empowerment in addition to the provision of health care to the poor and needy. She actively participates in the running of Bharateswari Homes residential school for girls.

Mrs. Shaha was instrumental in setting up the Kumudini Nursing School and the Kumudini Nursing College. In recognition of her contribution in the field of female education she was conferred with the `Begum Rokeya Award' in 2005. Mrs. Shaha is presently member of the Governing body of Kumudini Women's Medical College, member of the Board of Trustees of Ranada Prasad Shaha University and she is also a Director of Kumudini Welfare Trust.

Mr. Mamun holds the position of Director-Corporate Finance of Transcom Distribution Ltd, Bangladesh’s largest distribution and logistics company with operations in pharmaceuticals, consumer brands and diagnostic devices. Transcom Distribution is proud to have strong bonds with multinational giants, L’Oréal, Novo Nordisk, Servier, Abbott, Kraft Heinz, Unilever International and Mars among others.

Mr. Mamun is also the Director-Corporate Finance of Transcom Consumer Products Ltd, PepsiCo’s first snacks franchise operation in the world. Prior to joining Transcom family in 2007, he served A. Qasem & Co, Chartered Accountants, an associated firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for 2 years.

Mr. Anis-uz-Zaman Khan was appointed to the Board of Directors of Reliance Insurance Limited on 9th September 2021 as Independent Director of the Company. Before taking voluntary retirement from the Government of the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh, he served as Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Rural Development & Co-operative. He was also a Director of GEC (BD) Ltd. and Managing Director of Social Marketing Company Ltd. He was also the ombudsperson for BRAC for a term of three years. He has visited many countries including USA in 1977 on invitation from the US Government under the Leader Exchange Program. Mr. Khan completed his Master of Arts degree from University of Dhaka and obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Development Administration from University of Leeds, United Kingdom.

Mr.Azizur Rashid was appointed as Independent Director of the Board of Reliance Insurance Limited on 31st March 2019. Mr.Azizur Rashid, Chartered Accountant by profession, holds extensive experience of working both in public practice and industry in UK. Upon return to Bangladesh in 1989 he joined the finance function of BOC Bangladesh Limited, a British multinational company (listed). He spent 22 years in BOC and out of which 14 years as Country Head of Finance and Company Secretary. After BOC, Mr. Rashid served as CFO with Summit Group, a well known local group with speciality in the energy sector. Immediately before joining Link 3 Technologies Limited (in February 2015), a leading broad band company in Bangladesh, he was working as Financial Management Consultant with World Bank, Dhaka and subsequently with Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co, Chartered Accountants.

For a number of terms Mr. Rashid served as member of Trade, Tariff & Taxation Sub-Committee of Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Bangladesh and also of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Bangladesh. Earlier, he received membership of British Institute of Management.

HABIBUR RAHMAN MOLLAH FCA Independent Director Mr. Habibur Rahman Mollah, a fellow member (FCA) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh was appointed as Independent Director of the Board of Reliance Insurance Limited on July 28 2021. He completed his graduation and post-graduation degree in Accounting from the Dhaka University and qualified himself as a Chartered Accountant from The Institution of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. He carries over 38 years of experience of serving the key positions in the areas of corporate and financial management in various capacities including Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer etc. with multi-disciplinary business organizations like Transcom Group, Crown Cement Group, Rahimafrooz Group, Meghna Group of Industries and Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board. Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman Mollah was Director of the Board of IDLC Finance Limited for about 7 years from 2006 to 2013.

Professor Mohammad Abdullah is a literary person who engages himself from founding, teaching and managing educational institutions ranging from Elementary to University Level. For a decade he was part-time Faculty Member at Departments of Management and Finance of Dhaka University. He completed B. Com. (Hons.) and M. Com. from Dhaka University in 1958 and 1959 respectively. He became a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries, London, UK in 1966. He was Company Secretary of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited and Sponsor Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. Since 1991 to 2001 he was an Honorable Member of Parliament of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. Mr. Abdullah is the Chairman of the Manarat Trust and the board of trustees of Manarat International University.

Mr. Mamun Joined Reliance Insurance in June, 2005 after 11 years of service in Reinsurance Department of the State Owned Sadharan Bima Corporation. Apart from his Masters degree from Dhaka University, he also obtained Diploma in Development Planning from Academy for Planning and Development, Dhaka. He is an Associate Member of Bangladesh Insurance Academy, Dhaka and also the Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom. He received Advanced Non-Life Insurance & Reinsurance Training from Swiss Insurance Training Centre (SITC) of Swiss Re, Zurich, Switzerland and Reinsurance Management Training from Asian Re, Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. Khaled has also attended a number of seminars on Insurance and Reinsurance at home and abroad. Recently Chartered Insurance Institute of London has awarded Mr. Khaled with the prestigious “Chartered Insurer” status.
